Last Minute Equipment für Ski Offsaison?

Hey,
ich will mit meiner Familie kurzfristig ins Riesengebirge fahren, bevor kein Schnee mehr liegt.
Jetzt sind nämlich die Skipässe und Unterkünfte weitaus billiger als noch vor ein paar Wochen. Das Ganze soll eine Überraschung zum Geburtstag meines Sohnes werden. Er hat das Skifahren letztes Jahr gelernt und ist nun total verrückt danach. Neben dem Kurztripp dachte ich, dass wir ihm auch gleich eigene Ski schenken könnten.
Deshalb die Frage an euch: Womit habt ihr gute Erfahrungen gemacht und warum?
